Eagles Flying at the Irish Raptor Research Centre
Eagles Flying is a show featuring eagles, falcons and vultures. Visitors can get up-close to these amazing birds which are more intelligent than most people think. It is both entertaining and educational, and the admission fee goes towards funding the birds of prey sanctury and the conservation work of the Irish Raptor Research Centre.
Raptors, or birds of prey, have a hooked bill and long, sharp claws (or talons). They are also strong flyers, and so have the physical characteristics to be good hunters, swooping down on smaller animals from the air. They only kill to eat. Having eaten, they have no interest in harming other creatures.
The bird show is approximately one hour in duration.
The Eagles Flying Show at the Irish Raptor Research Centre is located 5km west of Ballymote, and 24km south of Sligo town. Click the map pin icon to view the location on a map.
