Glenroe Farm
If too much cultural tourism is making the children a little rebellious, then right that balance with a visit to Glenroe Farm. Here they can get up close to the farm animals and pets and have some fun time.
This farm became famous in the 1980s due to the popular TV series "Glenroe" about a farm family which was filmed here.
Today, children can get close to and play with the many animals here, including: horses, donkeys, pigs, goats, sheep, lambs, cows, deer, hens, ducks, geese, rabbits, gerbils, and guinea pigs.
There is a thatched farmhouse museum and exhibition area, a playground, a nature walk, gardens aimed at children and a coffee shop for the adults!
Glenroe Farm is located in Kilcoole (close to Greystones) off the N11 route, 36km south of Dublin city. Click the map pin icon to view the location on a map.
